Do Not Throw Away Your Bricked iPhones!!
Well if you were one of the many iPhone owners that attempted to unlock your iPhone and then update to the newest firmware, you probably had a bricked iPhone on your hands. Well according to Gizmodo, if you update your bricked iPhones to the newest 1.1.3 update, you’ll find that your previously dead phone will now be resurrected and functional again. Here’s what Gizmodo thinks is the cause of this: “It appears that Apple’s new 1.1.3 iPhone firmware rewrites either most or all of the phone’s firmware, allowing for bricked iPhones to be brought back to life.”
It may be a little more complicated than just plugging your phone in and syncing it to iTunes, but if you go to the Gizmodo link above, it lists a few steps that are required to breath life back into that bricked iPhone. Maybe it really is the Jesus phone.
I just hope no one has really thrown there yet regardless….
This sucks for anyone that bricked their phone and threw it away.

people sell their bricked iphones on craigslist.com all the time because they don’t want to take the time to see if it can be fixed. I bought my iphone from craigslist off of a guy who bricked his unlocked iphone when upgrading to 1.1.1 back in Oct. for $200
That would suck if you threw it away then found out about this
Even though this update may unbrick your phone, you still can’t use the phone until you create a legit account with att.
