I sent a picture message today!

If you checked Installer.app today, you probably noticed the SwirlyMMS app. I know this application has been available before but I hadn’t been able to use it because I couldn’t figure out the settings for T-Mobile USA. Well, I went to the SwirlyMMS web page, and saw that someone had posted the settings for T-Mobile USA. So, I installed it this morning and within ten minutes, I had sent a picture message to my work phone. I was super excited. It worked great! I was honestly hoping that at the keynote, Jobs would have released this feature but as we all know, this didn’t happen. Oh well, SwirlyMMS works. It does the job really well and I encourage you to donate if you can to help continue development. Listed on this page is some of the settings you can try for your specific carrier. After the break, I’ll put down the one for you T-Mobile USA users.

Again, please go to this site for more deets!

I don’t think mine is working. iPhone plans don’t come with mms? Thats dumb. If they are going to charge me extra then I’m not gonna worry about it.

  2. Mike M. says:

Cool! I should add this my plan now!

  3. Chris W says:

Can’t you only send MMS with this app? That’s what I had heard and if that is the case, it is a waste of an app. You can send an MMS through email easily in a method that has been out since a few days after the iPhone release. Either way, can we just get REAL MMS on the iPhone already?!

  4. karan says:

Yea that’s what I heard to..

  5. Ahmed O says:

  7. Ryan SOS says:

Yeah is a cool app. I have only been able to send pics to people that have blackberrys or a windows phone

  8. Mike H. says:

how do you add mms plan to an iphone plan with at&t? whenever i call them they say you cant get mms with the iphone

  9. Greg says:

I tried this out but I can’t find out how to get it to send the messages. It keeps coming up with an error. I either don’t have the right settings or don’t have mms in my plan. I also don’t like how you can’t receive mms messages.
